winter arc

Ninety days · iOS

Pick something. Do it for ninety days. See what happens.

Pick a finish line. Pick the person you're becoming. Then get on with it.

The four laws from Atomic Habits, turned into things you do. On the App Store this winter.

DAY 1 of 90

The idea

A season has an end.

"I want to get fit" can wait until Monday. Then next Monday. Then January. A Winter Arc can't. It's got a finish line. Pick 30, 60 or 90 days. Decide who you're becoming. Then get on with it.

Some days will be easy. Some won't. That's rather the point.

The point isn't the ninety days. It's who you are on day 91.

The person, not the outcome

Who are you becoming?

Forget the perfect outcome for a minute. Finish this sentence: By the end of this Arc, I am someone who…

Every habit is a small vote for that person. That's it. That's the game.

How it works

Good intentions aren't a system.

Winter Arc takes the four laws from Atomic Habits and turns them into things you actually do. Less thinking about your habits. More doing them.

LAW 01

Make it obvious

Decide when and where it happens. No relying on remembering. Your brain's got enough on.

After I pour my coffee, I will…
LAW 02

Make it attractive

Pair the thing you should do with something you want to do. Make the deal better.

Podcast + walk. Coffee + reading.
LAW 03

Make it easy

Small enough that you can't talk yourself out of it. Bad day? Do the small version. Something beats sod all.

Two minutes counts.
LAW 04

Make it satisfying

Tick it off. See the chain. Watch the Arc move.

Your brain likes proof. Give it some.

The boring maths

1% better every day adds up faster than you'd think.

Do a little more each day and it stacks. One percent better daily works out at about 2.4× over ninety days. One percent worse and you're going backwards. That's all this chart is.

1% better daily → ×2.4 by day 90 1% worse daily → ×0.4

How a season goes

The bit where you nearly pack it in.

DAY 01–10

The easy bit

New routine, fresh start, feeling smug. Motivation's turned up. Bank it. You'll want it later.

DAY 11–45

The bit that matters

Day 17. Rain, bad sleep, work's gone sideways, can't be bothered. This is the whole game. Don't aim for perfect. Aim to get back to it. Miss once, fine. Miss twice, that's when we pay attention.

DAY 46–75

Just what you do now

The habit's stopped needing a decision. Breaking the chain would actually annoy you. Good sign.

DAY 76–90

Nearly there

The maths starts to show. You finish with a record of every day you turned up, and a choice about the next season.

In the app

Everything points at the finish line.

The Arc ring

Day 37 of 90, always on screen. Your season as one number.

Chain calendar

One square a day. Don't break the chain.

Never miss twice

Slip once, we leave you be. Twice, we say something.

The maths chart

The 1% curve, with a dot where you are on it.

Weekly review

What worked, what didn't, one thing to change. Two minutes.

Streak freezes

Planned rest days that don't break the chain. Rest is allowed.

Reminders

A nudge at your habit time. One more in the evening if you've not logged.

All on your phone

No account. No feed. No one watching. Your season's yours.

Your statement

Who you're becoming, on the home screen. In case you forget.

Questions

Before you commit.

Is this another 75 Hard?

No. 75 Hard is six fixed rules and you restart from zero if you slip. Winter Arc has no rules of its own. You pick the habits, the length, the pace. The app's job is to help you keep going, not to catch you out.

Do I have to take cold showers?

No. The name's about the season, not ice baths. Do whatever gets you toward the person in your statement.

When does an Arc start?

When you open the app. The internet version runs October to December, but a finish line works any time of year. Pick your own.

Is my data private?

Yes. It's all on your phone. No account, no server, nothing to leak. Delete the app and it's gone.

Android?

iOS first. Android's built and will follow. Join the waitlist and we'll let you know.

DAY 90

You made it to the bottom of the page.

That's the skill, really. Getting to the end of a thing. Do it with a season next. Leave your email and we'll send the link when it's on the App Store.

No spam. One email, when it's out.
